From April 21-28, 2005, keep an eye out for the 15th edition of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles: the ultimate women's adventure sporting event held in Morocco!

In a setting perfect for adventure and exoticism, these women ready for a challenge are going to live out an out of the ordinary experience: a ten-day rally in the African desert behind the wheel of a 4x4 with nothing more than a compass and a map to guide the way!

Armed with courage and a strong will, over 80 teams will set off on this mythical adventure on April 21 in Merch Idane, southwest of Erfoud. Throughout each of the six legs, the participants will go up against the desert heat and sandstorms.
At the end of the intense eight-day journey under the Saharan sun: the gazelles will be welcomed by festivities in Essaouira and an awards ceremony.

 Chronopost International Maroc has joined forces with this exceptional competition in the name of adventure and community spirit. Wearing the colours of Chronopost International, the team no. 171 formed by Sophie Takenouti of the Chronopost and Aïcha Yamani, United Nations Population Fund representative, will actively support the UNFPA programme for women's issues and its fight against violence towards women.
